Shotton Steel 10 Denbigh 3

Shotton mastered the very heavy conditions at Rowleys Drive despite losing two influential player through the game due to yellow cards. Denbigh never threatened the Shotton line and any attempts were thwarted by a very well drilled defensive line. Honours were even at three a piece due to 3 penalty misses from the opposing kicker, but a moment of brilliance from the mercurial centre Dan Lynskey five minutes from time saw him drive forward avoiding the clutches of the Denbigh defenders to leave enough room to casually slide in under the posts. Steve Ellson added the extras with the boot. This result cements Shotton in 2nd place in Division 2 North. Shotton look forward to the trip to Wrexham next week.
